South African couple case study: The couple proceeded with a company formation for the financial planner and a freelance permit through Dubai Healthcare City for the nurse
- Client
- South African couple
- Location
- Durban, South Africa
Husband and wife in Johannesburg, South Africa License issued with both activities.
The couple wanted to consolidate both their businesses under a single UAE entity to simplify their tax and banking situation, while also securing residence visas for themselves and their two school-age children. They had received conflicting advice about whether to use one license or two, and whether a free zone or mainland structure was more appropriate given their intention to take on UAE-based clients.
We advised a single free zone entity with two separate business activities registered, covering both marketing and HR consulting. This avoided duplication of formation costs while keeping their activities properly licensed. We processed the company formation, four investor visas, Emirates ID applications, and coordinated their medical appointments. We also prepared a brief on UAE corporate tax registration obligations, which they had not been made aware of by their previous advisor.
License issued with both activities. Four visas processed, Emirates IDs received. The family relocated on schedule. Both spouses are now operating under the entity with their respective clients.
